ACT Prep Overview Workshops.
I conduct workshops for the ACT to help students feel more comfortable and prepared for their first ACT test. I cover all subjects, even though I am the Mathlete. I have had great success in helping kids raise their scores in English and Reading. Learn more about me by clicking here.

Session Overview
1) ~30 minutes of discussion around the test overall, goals, and test-taking strategies.
2) ~30 minutes of Science & Reading strategies
3) ~1 hour of Mathematics strategies and practice on the “easy” questions, which are the first 20.
4) ~1 hour of English strategies and practice on the types of questions I find students most-commonly need assistance with.
Reminder: This is designed to be an overview workshop for novice test-takers. This workshop is not a comprehensive test prep program. Each participant will get an email after the workshop with recommendations for test prep on their own.
I provide everything they need except a calculator, which they should bring. I will have water and snacks.
Students will receive tips on how to do work on their own outside of the workshop. ACT prep should be 25% in-workshop, 75% outside-workshop in terms of student study time (minimum).
I will provide guidance for them for work outside of the workshop sessions including recommendations for daily practice, suggestion for completing practice tests and analyzing their responses, and a math formula sheet to study.

ACT Prep Workshops are 3 hours each and are for maximum 6 students.
The rates per student are:
$100 per student per workshop, paid upon registration.
This is the book I use for ACT tutoring. You do not need it for this workshop. If they plan to complete preparation on their own, this is the best one to use. CLICK HERE. Please note, the ACT is changing formats and although this book is recommended now, you may need a new version depending on when your student takes the test next.
If you need to cancel, you must provide at least 24 hour notice so that I have time to fill your child’s spot. If your wakes up sick the day of the workshop, please do not send them. Contact me immediately to coordinate options. This workshop will be canceled if there are fewer than 3 registrants and paid registrations will be refunded.
