Group tutoring for the ACT can be very effective and saves you money!
I realize that one-on-one ACT tutoring can be quite costly. It is be the absolute best option because your student gets my undivided attention. However, the group sessions are still very productive and you can get a reduced rate. 2019 ACT dates are coming and parents are already contacting me. Also, your student’s school may be administering the test to all juniors on a specific date that is not listed as a national date. Inquire with your school counselor.
If you are interested in tutoring, it is possible the only way to do it is through a group because at this point, my schedule won’t allow for 3-5 additional students separately!
Here is a link to my ACT workshop information that includes more detail. A workshop group can be 3-5 students for the $40 rate.
How to choose the best group:
- If students have taken the test together, similar subject scores indicates that they are of like levels in terms of their preparation and knowledge. They would likely work well together to learn at the same pace.
- If students have not taken the test, students and parents should be honest with each other and discuss the student’s math and reading levels. These two subjects should be aligned to make for the most productive workshop group. Students don’t have to be in all of the same classes or at the exact same levels but they should be close enough to be able to keep pace with one another. I can and will customize for each other them during the sessions as I get to know them.
